Whether you're looking for custom suits, shirts, belts, shoes, ties, Yoan and the rest of Hall Madden will get you set up with whatever you need, right down to the exact fabric, stitching, and fit. If you're new to suits like me, be prepared to set aside some time for a consultation, a session to build your suit, and another one for fitting once the suit is made. Yoan's attention to detail and thoughtfulness will ensure you've got the right fit that looks great. The story: When in the middle stages of planning our wedding, I had done a lot of research into who I could work with the create and purchase a custom green suit. After finding something that was to my liking online, I easily scheduled time to meet with Yoan, who manages the shop. Yoan walked me through all of the steps we would take to work together and was able to appropriately quote me on something that fit what I would like that was within my budget. We then met again to go piece by piece through the ensemble for the day. I had the option to make choices for all different styles of lapels, stitching, pockets, buttons, pockets, collars, and a wide variety of fabrics. I even opted to purchase my shoes, belt, and ties, all of which were completely custom. Through the whole process, Yoan was completely transparent about pricing and kept my budget in mind. I never felt like I was being "sold to" and instead felt like I was working with someone who had my interests in mind. I then went back for a fitting once the suit was made where Yoan ensured that we had the right fit. Again, there was plenty of attention paid to make sure that everything looked great. This was such an enjoyable process and I'm extremely pleased with the result. Can't recommend working with Yoan and HM enough.

I had the pleasure of doing business with Yoan in NYC. Not only was he very professional and friendly… he was passionate about his work and that makes a huge difference when purchasing a suit. The custom 3 piece suit (tweed from UK) I ordered is exquisite. The quality of the fabric, the stitching, the measurements… impeccable. Well worth the investment. I don't typically wear nice clothes, so fitting a suit for my wedding was a totally foreign experience to me. Yoan was key in making the process easy and thorough and was nothing short of patient and thoughtful. Getting to pick out the materials and style options + custom measurements and tailoring really made the suit unique and bespoke to my tastes. The amount of options they give you for customization are substantial as well. I ended up ordering a 2-piece suit, 2x fitted shirts, tie, leather belt and leather shoes. I'm a huge fan of the tie - it is textured and elegant. The shoes also fit pretty well given my extremely wide feet. They are very high quality and the leather fitted to my feet pretty well after some wearing in. Everything was ready with plenty of time to spare and fit perfectly. Got lots of compliments on the big day! A few highlights of my suit customizations: - Colorful floral print interior for the suit jacket (see photo) - Fitted shirt cuffs can do both standard button AND cuff links - Fitted shirt left cuff is slightly wider to accommodate a watch Thank you Yoan!

I only have great things to say about Hall Madden and in particular Yoan, for his patience and guidance in the process of designing my wedding suit. I got in touch with Yoan after reading several very positive reviews about HM. I had gone to other shops/tailors but I hadn't found the right combination of design choices and advice. When I arrived at our first appointment, Yoan had already put out a number of fabrics and colors that matched the pictures i had sent him as "inspiration". Small gesture, but very different from the experience I had at other places in particular in the attention to detail. Coupled with his genuine advice and friendliness, I decided to stick with him and HM. Designing a 3-piece suit from scratch was a little daunting and there was a little back and forth on colors, fabrics, linings, style of vest, etc that I think challenged both me and Yoan in the best way possible! Kudos for the patience! In the end, I was super happy to leave the store with a suit that included some nice personal touches, incredible quality, and a very reasonable price. And judging by the compliments I got on the suit, specifically, on and after the wedding day, I'd say we made all the right choices!! Bottom line is - if you're looking to get a bespoke suit that you can personalize and you want 1) a very helpful and honest suit sherpa to guide through the process and 2) a very reasonable price point for the quality of the suit, I'd recommend you reach out to HM and Yoan in particular. I can’t speak more highly of my experience with Yoan and Hall Madden. It was my first time getting a custom tailored suit and Yoan did a great job of guiding me to get the exact look I wanted without previously knowing the process or language. I also really appreciated that he was able to give great advice whenever I wasn’t sure about something. The suits came out great and timely and seem very high quality compared to the cost. Highly recommend! I plan to go back.

I went to 10 places in NYC before my final appointment of the day at HallMadden. As the old saying goes, “saving the best for last” is absolutely the right description for my experience. Yoan was fantastic to deal with. He made the process easy and fun. I’m very particular and Yoan listened to what I wanted and made suggestions without being pushy or trying to oversell me. He let me come to my own conclusions with gentle guidance. He made multiple tweaks to my tuxe and dinner jacket. It was the perfect experience for my wedding. The price was right, the service was fantastic and the experience was just what I wanted. I have since recommended a number of friends to Yoan and HallMadden for Wedding Tuxe’s and custom suits. Can’t say enough good things about Yoan and HallMadden.

What can I say to express my gratitude to Yoan and to express how endlessly patient and talented and discerning he is. Never before have I experienced a one-on-one session (let alone four) with a tailor, and I don’t think I’ll ever consider not doing so when there is such an important item. My wedding day was incredible, and a huge piece of the puzzle was my suit, and the experience of making it. Yoan guided me where I needed guidance, and his counsel was irreplaceable as I navigated a bespoke creation. Not only is he talented, but he’s generous, capable, and a calming person to maneuver through what to me was a completely novel experience. The next time I require or wish to have a coat or suit made for myself, there’s only one place I have to consider now, and I can’t wait until that time comes.
